IT Technical Scada Architect – Tampa, FL

Base pay range: $50.00/hr - $60.00/hr.

• Accountable for the overall end-to-end technical design of SCADA systems; ensures that system requirements are translated effectively into solutions and architectural assurance is performed by overseeing the planning, design, integration, and development for OT systems; collaborates with Enterprise Architects and other Solution Architects to provide direction so that the organization can make appropriate design decisions.
• Lead and mentor technical teams, providing guidance on SCADA system design, implementation, and ensuring the success of system improvements.
• Proactively interface with business users and IT to provide support for future business initiatives and projects; actively participate and apply the vision of systems such as SCADA, Gas Distribution, and Meter Measurement in short- and long-range roadmap planning to meet business objectives; facilitate communication and activities between the internal IT department and various levels of the organization and outside vendors and consultants;
  
  build consensus between multiple parties and educate business and IT staff on recommended solutions for implementation.
• Drive impact assessment of any major change requests to requirements, providing input to the Program Management Team and the appropriate governance/architect review for changes in scope and overall solution.

• Bachelor's degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or equivalent discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in any combination of SCADA, Meter Measurement, Distribution Systems, and Network Infrastructure.
• Minimum of 8 years of direct work experience performing the duties & responsibilities of this position or closely related duties.
• Deep expertise in SCADA platforms, industrial communications protocols (e.g., Modbus), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) programming concepts, and industrial networking.
• Deep technical knowledge in database design and development, including expertise in SQL, data modeling, and familiarity with DBMS (e.g., SSMS).
• In-depth technical expertise of SCADA architecture, including redundancy, failover, and high-availability designs.
• Ability to lead the design and implementation of SCADA systems, including RTUs, HMI, and communications protocols.
