Pennoni Associates is currently seeking an Associate Traffic Engineer to work in either our Tampa or Clearwater, FL office with experience consistent, but not limited to:
- Assisting with complex traffic engineering tasks with other staff on highway and bridge projects.
- Leading and developing traffic studies and highway occupancy permits.
- Signing and Pavement Marking design.
- Assisting with development of Maintenance of Traffic schemes, Construction Phasing and Traffic Control Plans.
- Assisting with development of Management Plans (TMP) and Traffic Impact Studies (TIS).
- ADA Design and Curb Ramp Design.
- FDOT Access Management, TSM&O and Complete Streets Initiatives.
- Assisting with the development of project Cost Estimates and Specifications.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to technical staff (e.g., CADD).
- Experience with traffic-related software packages (Synchro, HCM, VISSIM, SIDRA).
- Experience with FDOT and similar public sector clients (Counties, Cities, Townships).
- Developing client relationships with Public and Private Clients.
- Required education
:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, Master's degree a plus. - Minimum years of work experience
: 4-8 years. - Computer skills required
:
Microsoft Suite;
Microstation, Highway Capacity Software, Synchro/Sim Traffic.
- Experience with InRoads and AutoCAD a plus.
- Construction consultation and utility coordination experience a plus.
- Licenses
: PE, (PTOE desirable).
