Job DescriptionEvergreen Innovation Group, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is seeking an Electrical Estimator with at least 5 years of experience on commercial construction projects. The role focuses on negotiated electrical commercial projects within our core markets: healthcare, higher education, advanced technology, life sciences, and commercial. The estimator will work closely with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors to drive project success and support our mission.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Demonstrate understanding and enthusiastic agreement with the vision and mission of EIG.
- Handle the project from first estimate through project handoff.
- Look beyond available information, ask the right questions, and provide a complete cost evaluation.
- Act as a collaborative advocate for customers, empowering and informing them throughout the project.
- Provide innovative solutions to cost, lead‑time, trade‑partner, or material issues.
- Make reliable cost predictions across all scopes of work.
- Prepare detailed conceptual cost estimates and studies from schematic and feasibility documentation.
- Develop variance summaries between estimates and value engineering studies as the design evolves.
- Assemble a complete presentation‑ready estimate package that clearly communicates cost.
- Collaborate with the project team to establish staffing and project requirements.
- Understand unit costs and factors that affect construction cost.
- Prepare detailed bid instructions, trade clarifications, and comprehensive bid packages.
- Manage the bidding process: solicit bids, communicate with bidders, evaluate proposals, use bid tally sheets.
- Recommend subcontractor awards, negotiate, and finalize subcontracts with trade partners.
- Lead presentation of cost and budget information to customers/owners.
- Participate in RFP responses and formal presentations.
- Engage and develop business with new and existing customers.
- Participate in value‑engineering sessions with project and design teams.
Skills and Abilities

- Ability to identify, adapt to, and resolve complex issues.
- Effective participation in team environments, both external and internal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, estimating software (Win Est, Timberline, or similar), take‑off software (Accubid Live Count or similar), BIM tools (Revit, Assemble, etc.), project management software (CMiC or similar), or scheduling software (Primavera or similar).
- 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Commercial Construction estimator, preferably within DPR core markets.
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus, but not required.
- Field experience is a plus, but not required.
- Experience with Design/Build and Design/Assist projects is a plus.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Travel to and from the office and assigned job sites.
