Senior Transportation Engineer – Project Manager

Ayres Associates is looking for an experienced Senior Transportation Engineer to manage and execute transportation projects for FDOT and city/county/local governments. The successful candidate will support business development and growth of the transportation engineering practice across Florida and contribute to our national practice.

Responsibilities
  • Identify marketing opportunities and collaborate to win transportation projects from clients, including FDOT, cities, counties, and municipalities.
  • Manage projects, overseeing production of all work, ensuring schedule, profitability, and compliance with Ayres Associates quality standards and contract requirements.
  • Build and maintain respectful relationships with project managers and other leaders within the company.
  • Support and participate in staff development and mentorship.
  • Actively engage in professional organizations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in transportation.
  • Registered professional engineer (PE) in Florida.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in transportation.
  • Strong transportation project management skills.
  • Proven business development expertise focused on identifying, pursuing, and winning projects.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

  • Lighting and signalization design.
  • Passion for representing Ayres Associates professionally.
