Senior Transportation Engineer – Project Manager
Ayres Associates is looking for an experienced Senior Transportation Engineer to manage and execute transportation projects for FDOT and city/county/local governments. The successful candidate will support business development and growth of the transportation engineering practice across Florida and contribute to our national practice.
Responsibilities- Identify marketing opportunities and collaborate to win transportation projects from clients, including FDOT, cities, counties, and municipalities.
- Manage projects, overseeing production of all work, ensuring schedule, profitability, and compliance with Ayres Associates quality standards and contract requirements.
- Build and maintain respectful relationships with project managers and other leaders within the company.
- Support and participate in staff development and mentorship.
- Actively engage in professional organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in transportation.
- Registered professional engineer (PE) in Florida.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in transportation.
- Strong transportation project management skills.
- Proven business development expertise focused on identifying, pursuing, and winning projects.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Urban and rural roadway design.
- PD&E and corridor studies.
- Lighting and signalization design.
- Passion for representing Ayres Associates professionally.
