Engineer Technician - Electrical​/Mechanical Security Clearance

Position: Engineer Technician 2 - Electrical/Mechanical with Security Clearance
Job Overview As an Engineering Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting R&D projects and collaborating with cross-functional portfolio teams. You'll be involved in the end-to-end development of hardware prototypes, contributing to the design and assembly of PCB, mechanical components, and software scripts. Your work will include conducting tests and experiments that drive development toward manufacturing readiness, while maintaining thorough documentation and process records to track test data and results.

* Solder PCBs with Surface-Mounted Components (SMCs)
* Solder wire harnesses and making cables based on minimal documentation
* Modify circuit boards using wire jumpers and PCB trace modifications
* Assist in the construction of testing platforms and event setups
* Review and interpret PCB layouts for accurate implementation
* Help design and model components using CAD software, including Solid Works, for engineering applications.
* Print 3D models and prototypes to support design validation and engineering development.
* Collaborate in the fabrication process, ensuring quality control and precision in part creation.
* Solder wire harnesses and making cables based on minimal documentation
* Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical challenges, contributing to project success.
* Contribute to the design, assembly, and testing of UAV frames for advanced projects.
* Implement and uphold 5S methodology to streamline workflows and develop efficient lean processes.
* Meticulously document testing procedures and data to ensure accuracy and support repeatability in future projects.
* Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical challenges, contributing to project success.
* Provide support in the development and management of project timelines under the guidance of the lead engineer or program manager.
* Carry out additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of engineering and project goals.
* Collaborate with Manufacturing team to help push products to delivery
* Perform other duties as required. Standard Essential Functions

* Knowledge of Electrical SMT and Software
* Knowledge of circuits
* Ability to understand schematics, assembly drawings, and PCB layout
* Ability to understand cable drawings
* Solid knowledge of Electrical and Aircraft Systems
* Knowledge of power and mechanical systems Education / Certifications
* Associate degree in engineering or technical field preferred
* Preferred

Certifications:

* J-STD-001
* IPC-A-610 Experience
* 3-5 years of experience as an engineering technician or other relevant technical field
* Equivalent documented work experience in lieu of degree may be acceptable
* Experience with:
* CAD software
* 3D printing
* Altium PCB layout software
* Cable wiring for RC planes
* Understanding Gas engines
* Understanding electrical motors
* Solid Works
* Bambu Studio
