We are seeking a Principal Engineer (Geotechnical Engineering) for our Civil & Structural Engineering Practice. This role offers a significant opportunity to shape business strategy and expand our technical footprint in the following locations:
- New York, NY
- Houston, TX
- Bellevue, WA
- Denver, CO
- Chicago, IL
- Natick, MA
- Atlanta, GA
- Identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities and promoting Exponent through industry contacts
- Significantly contributing to increasing Exponent's civil and geotechnical engineering consulting efforts
- Providing strategic consulting and expert witness work
- Bringing advanced and insightful solutions to clients in your recognized areas of expertise
- Providing project management and project budget oversight
- Developing and mentoring staff in both technical and business areas
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Civil Engineering plus 15 years of experience
- Significant business development experience with a proven track record
- Ability to attract projects to support full-time staff and to manage and develop a group of highly motivated individuals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams
- A record of professional papers and presentations and a proven record of dedication to quality and accuracy
- Current licensed professional civil engineer in at least one state with ability to become licensed in multiple other states

CompensationBase salary range: USD $ - USD $ /Yr. Total compensation includes base salary, annual bonus, and a 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.
