About Alpha SchoolAlpha School is demonstrating that literacy transformation doesn't demand 6-hour instructional days. Our 2-Hour Learning framework integrates AI‑adaptive platforms with skilled teaching to produce accelerated reading outcomes. Your objective: create and facilitate focused reading workshops that generate concrete improvements in phonics, fluency, and comprehension for early elementary learners, then support nationwide campus expansion of that framework.
Responsibilities- Facilitating focused reading workshops that build phonics, comprehension, and fluency competencies
- Creating individualized motivational experiences through gamified literacy benchmarks
- Examining student performance metrics to adjust teaching strategies and identify practical insights
- Partnering with engineering teams to assess and improve AI literacy platforms informed by classroom outcomes
- Building scalable, AI-supported materials that empower early elementary learners to reach grade‑level proficiency
- Conducting 90‑minute lessons or adhering to conventional curricula—students engage with core academic content via AI‑adaptive applications
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, LETRS, CERI, or equivalent) OR Master's degree in reading instruction
- Minimum of 2 years delivering small-group reading interventions to K–2 students
- Capable of assessing reading proficiency, forming student groups, and creating differentiated instruction independent of pre-packaged curricula
- Experienced with AI/adaptive learning platforms and able to respond to student interactions within them
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Available to work on-site at one of these campuses:

Houston, TX;
Plano, TX; or Dorado, Puerto Rico
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
