Young Toddler Teacher Once Upon a Childcare
• Tampa, FL, US
Harbor View Creative Learning Center is looking for a Young Toddler Teacher to join our team!
Pay starts between $16.00 - $18.00 based on education and experience. On‑going pay raises for all employees are awarded based on meeting program standards and expectations. If you are a good fit for our program, we love to promote and help all our teaching staff grow! Career advancement is always available, and we are willing to assist.

- All Employees will accrue Personal Time and PTO hours that do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
- Sick Pay will be accrued for a maximum of 48 hours, paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
- Holiday pay will be paid based on your individual average hours worked and will be paid to each employee after their 60‑day probationary period.

- We will help you obtain your CDA (Child Development Associate)
- Develop a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for children between 12‑24 months of age
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self‑esteem
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc.)
- Track children’s progress and report to parents
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
- Collaborate with other educators
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
- Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
- 45 DCF Training Hours
- CDA preferred
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as a mediator between children
- Cool‑tempered, friendly, and reliable
- Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
