Position: Criminology And Criminal Justice Part-Time Instructor Pool 2025-2026

Overview

The University of Tampa invites applications for part-time instructors in criminology and criminal justice in the Department of Criminology, College of Social Sciences, Mathematics, and Education.

Responsibilities
  • Teach introductory courses in criminology and criminal justice.
  • Follow department requirements for syllabi and other course-related materials.
  • Teach course(s) according to department guidelines.
  • Provide meeting times for students.
  • Complete course grading and submit final grades on the online system.
Qualifications
  • Master s Degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice (or closely related discipline) required;
    Doctorate preferred. A law degree does not substitute for a Master s Degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice.
  • College-level teaching experience; experience teaching Criminology/Criminal Justice classes preferred.
  • Relevant work experience is a plus but not required.

Additional Information

Applications for part-time positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the department when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer.
