Lower Division Pre-Kindergarten Teacher

Berkeley Preparatory School is an independent, co-educational, Episcopal affiliated college preparatory school located in Tampa, Florida. Founded in 1960, the school serves students in Pre-K through 12. Berkeley Preparatory School is seeking a full-time Pre-Kindergarten teacher for the  school year. The Pre-Kindergarten teacher will work collaboratively with a full-time instructional assistant to plan the instructional program and teach lessons to whole and small groups that are age-appropriate and address individual student needs.

Qualifications and experience

• 3-5 years of classroom teaching experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Master’s degree preferred
• Experience with the Workshop model, Shared Reading and Writing, Orton-Gillingham, and Singapore Math is beneficial
• Strong sense of humor, positive outlook, and appreciation for the unique qualities of this age group

The appointment is available August 2026 and is a full-time, salary, exempt position eligible for full benefits. The compensation package will be very competitive nationally and commensurate with experience, certification attainment, and the national independent school and college markets.
