Summer Aqua Camp On-Location InstructorSeasonal Professionals Tampa, FL, US
Position SummaryResponsible for creating and teaching a fun summer camp experience for children K–4 th grade.
Essential Position Functions- Maintains camper safety
- Responsible for developing fun activities that correspond to the camp theme
- Mentoring counselors and teen volunteers
- Handles group and individual camper behavior
- Responsible for maintaining a proper classroom environment
- Assists with light office work and other duties as assigned
- Degree or working towards a degree in biology, environmental science, marine science, outdoor education or elementary education
- Formal or informal teaching experience (1 year of experience)
- Certification in First Aid and CPR preferred
- Customer service skills preferred
- Customer Service Orientation – Listening and understanding the customer (both internal and external) and anticipation and evaluating the customer’s needs; making the customer’s satisfaction a high priority in all areas of responsibility.
- Teamwork
– Supporting, facilitating and participating in activities that promote team effectiveness; demonstrating sensitivity for the feelings and needs of team members and supporting team goals. - Integrity and trust – Maintaining social, ethical, organizational values and norms: building trust and confidence with the staff, campers and parents; respecting the confidentiality of personal and proprietary information.

– Deciding on and committing to an action on the examination of the safety and facts at hand; finding creative solutions to situations and opportunities that arise. - Work Standards – Applies high performance standards to all work‑related activities.

- Using hands for repetitive movements
- Exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity
- Exposure to dust, fumes and gases
- Typing on a computer keyboard
- Viewing a computer screen for short periods
- Coping with demands (stresses that are associated with the job and/or the work environment) so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained
- More than normal talking

April 15, 2026 – Paperwork Open House Time: 5:30pm–6:30pm
May 16, 2026 – All Staff training: 9am–4pm
May 23, 2026 – Continued training: 9am–12pm
