Faculty – School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences (Instructor/Assistant Professor) (Finance)
The School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine, seeks qualified candidates for a faculty position to teach undergraduate rehabilitation sciences courses in the Health and Physical Rehabilitation Sciences major. The position may be offered as a 9‑ or 12‑month appointment at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor, commensurate with the selected candidate.
Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver course materials, assess student performance, and manage classroom activities.
- Develop and teach undergraduate courses:
Anatomy and Physiology, Biomechanics, Motor Learning and Behavior, Movement Neuroscience, Kinesiology and Pathomechanics. - Provide guidance and support to students in their academic pursuits in the rehabilitation sciences.
- Actively engage in institutional, professional, and community service activities; may represent the university on committees.
- Master’s degree in a rehabilitation science‑related field (e.g., exercise physiology, rehabilitation science, kinesiology, biomechanics, athletic training).
- Teaching experience in anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, motor learning, or related areas.
- Must meet the university criteria for the appointment to the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor.
- Preferred:
Doctoral degree in an allied rehabilitation science field. - Preferred:
Publication background and research experience in rehabilitation science. - Preferred:
History of university and/or professional service.
