Position
The Department of Chemical, Biological, and Materials Engineering at the University of South Florida invites applications for an Associate Professor (tenure‑earning). The anticipated start date is August 2026 or thereafter. An earned Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution by the start of employment is required. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in scholarly research, an externally funded active research program, and a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds.

Minimum Qualifications- Doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Meet all university criteria for appointment to the rank of Associate Professor.
- Demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
- Outstanding record of scholarly publications in refereed and other professional journals.
- Significant record of scholarship in a department with undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Chemical Engineering.
- Post‑doctoral experience or other similar post‑graduate experience.
- Experience working in a multicultural and diverse environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current academic appointment in a tenure‑track or tenured position in Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
- Strong record of external research funding as a principal investigator and successful supervision of multiple masters and doctoral students, advising undergraduate researchers, and mentoring post‑doctoral researchers.
