Position Overview

Open Rank (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor) positions in the Department of Medical Engineering at the University of South Florida. Tenure/tenure‑track appointments at the Senior (Associate/Full Professor) or Junior (Assistant Professor) level are invited, expected to commence August 2026.

• Lead innovative research in one of the department’s emphasis areas:
  Biomedical Imaging/Bioelectronics, Cell/Tissue Engineering, Neuro/Rehabilitation Engineering, Molecular Medicine/Drug Delivery, Biomechanics, applied to any biomedical system.
• Develop undergraduate and graduate teaching, including collaborations with clinical and hospital settings and academic clinicians.
• Propose novel initiatives, expand high‑impact research groups, and support technology transfer and startup activities within the Tampa Bay region.

• Earned Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, related engineering, or quantitative science discipline(s).
• Emerging or established national prominence through superior scholarship, active externally funded research, and teaching excellence.
• Competitive startup package and top‑quality lab space available in the new department and the Heart Institute.
