The Center of Innovation, Technology and Aging (CITA) and the Bellini College of AI, Cybersecurity and Computing (CAICC) jointly invite applications for a non‑tenure‑earning Assistant Research Professor. The role will conduct research aligned with CITA’s vision, teach undergraduate and graduate computer science courses (two courses per academic year), and mentor students under guidance from the Center Director. The position is renewable for up to two years and candidates should start by summer 2025.
Responsibilities- Conduct research in AI/ML, robotics, human‑computer interaction, or related areas focused on aging, neurodegenerative disease, and related conditions.
- Publish in high‑impact venues and develop grant proposals in collaboration with CITA faculty.
- Teach up to two computer science courses per academic year, including modules aligned with research.
- Mentor graduate students and support departmental activities.
- Minimum: Doctoral degree in computer science or related field from an accredited institution and a record of academic research meeting university criteria for an assistant professor.
- Preferred: Strong publication record in high‑impact venues; experience leading multidisciplinary research in aging or related fields; expertise in AI, robotics, or HCI; ability to develop and fund research grants.
