Overview
The USF Department of Neurology is recruiting a Neurohospitalist to provide services to TGH North, a group of hospitals located just to the north of Tampa, in the Crystal River and Spring Hill/Brooksville area. Appointment will be commensurate with experience. This role focuses on the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of neurological disorders in the hospital setting, including comprehensive inpatient neurological care for patients admitted with neurological conditions, vascular/stroke and other acute and complex general neurologic care in consultation and follow up.
On-call responsibilities will be minimal, and this position is pure inpatient care. Duty hours are Mon-Fri, day shifts only beginning at 8 am. This position is essential to maintaining efficient inpatient neurology services, improving patient flow, and delivering safe, patient-centered neurological care.
CLINICAL - 95% of duties involve providing medical care, inpatient hospital examinations/diagnosis and treatment/therapy. Prepare medical records and correspondence related to patient care. Conduct health counseling in preventative medicine under the guidance of the attending doctor.

Other duties as assigned. Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a state university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department.
MINIMUM: Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. For Associate/Full Professor on the Clinical track.
- ADDITIONAL MINIMUM: Must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License or foreign equivalent. To perform this position, the candidate will need to obtain and maintain a full unrestricted FL Medical License, maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan, and be a medical staff member in good standing at the hospitals where clinical duties are performed.
- MUST BE BOARD CERTIFIED/ELIGIBLE IN:
Neurology. Additional relevant fellowship training and board certifications are a plus but not required.
