Advent Health Tampa Core OBGYN Faculty Roles

Advent Health is seeking 8 experienced OB/ Hospitalists to join our Academic OB/GYN Residency Program at Advent Health Tampa. Along with our Program Director and academic leadership team you will be joining General OB/GYNs, Gynecologic Surgeons, FPMRS, and MFM physicians.

Responsibilities of the OB/GYN Hospitalist provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in a hospital setting, ensuring high-quality, round-the-clock care for patients. Responsibilities include managing labor and delivery, responding to obstetric emergencies, performing deliveries and surgical procedures, and collaborating with nurses, and other specialists to optimize patient outcomes. Additionally, hospitalists provide consultative services, support emergency department evaluations, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

As part of a Graduate Medical Education (GME) program, the hospitalist will also play a key role in mentoring and supervising OB/GYN residents, providing hands-on training, overseeing clinical decision-making, and fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development. This role is ideal for physicians who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered care while shaping the next generation of OB/GYN professionals.

Flexible schedules will include fourteen 12-hour shifts OR seven 24-hour shifts per month.

We are seeking physicians with the following qualifications:

• Current medical license (M.D. or D.O.)
• Board certification or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Certification in adult and neonatal resuscitation
• 5 years minimum of Labor and Delivery experience
• Proficiency with hospital EMR systems
• A motivation to increase patient safety and elevate patient satisfaction, along with dynamic communication skills and the ability to fit within the mission and vision of Advent Health, are required.
