The Architect will report directly to the Director of Architecture. This position works on projects across Florida, Texas, and nationally. The role includes accountability for building a successful discipline practice, executing the corporate vision, and promoting the architecture discipline and WGI brand across all markets and divisions.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of multiple projects of all sizes at any given time.
  • Comprehensively coordinate all project and design efforts, administrative and technical, for all assigned projects.
  • Pro‑actively manage design intent, client budgets, schedules, programs, communications, documentation, office administrative tasks, and project team assignments.
  • Estimate fees, confirm scopes of work, and prepare proposals.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison to successfully deliver the design, schedule, budgets, and scope of work.
  • Continue development of discipline design and production templates and standards.
  • Perform administrative functions as needed for successful project completion.
  • Compile, review, and check all multi‑discipline documents for conformance with design intent, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Ensure WGI Quality Assurance/Quality Control standards are strictly upheld for all documents prior to sending to the client.
  • Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the architectural/technical work performed in the market sector in all offices utilizing company‑wide standards.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Architect (RA) with a professional architecture degree from an accredited program.
  • At least 7 years of experience post‑graduation; preference for extensive experience in diverse client and project types, including civic, education, federal, office, industrial, transit, transportation, and aviation markets.
  • Green building accreditation a plus.
  • Software and technology proficiencies, including Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, static and immersive visualization tools, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office.
  • Active involvement in the local community.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis. We are unable to sponsor or accept sponsorship for employment visas.
Physical Demands

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Hand‑eye coordination is necessary to operate a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Use of a telephone headset will allow for virtual communication with team members through Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to sit for prolonged periods, use hands/fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms, speak and hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
