Associate UX Designer
In the Associate UX Designer role, you will be responsible for creating intuitive and easy-to-use user experiences for our products. Adept in understanding customer needs/goals along with business requirements to create workflows, wireframes and design documents that effectively communicate the details of the software changes to customers, team members and stakeholders. This entry-level position allows working on design projects or assisting senior designers with projects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Collaborate with senior designers, product managers, and engineers to design user experiences for AI-enabled clinical decision support tools, ensuring insights, alerts, and recommendations are clear, actionable, and seamlessly integrated into clinical workflows.
- Improve usability, user experience and drive user adoption and engagement.
- Work closely with front-end engineers to assist in translating interactive prototypes into functional working front-end code.
- Communicate design ideas quickly by sketching and/or wire framing.
- Create interactive prototypes that demonstrate high-level workflow and/or specific UI interactions as needed.
- Follow established standards and utilize existing design patterns to ensure a consistent and intuitive user experience and define new design patterns as required.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practice for design.
- Use emerging AI-assisted design tools to support and streamline UX workflows, including ideation, prototyping, and iteration, under the guidance of senior designers.
- BA/BS in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or related work experience.
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates a deep understanding of UX principles and design methodologies.
- Experience with Healthcare is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with Agile development is preferred but not mandatory.
- Understands all aspects of design: information architecture, visual design, industry UI standards for desktop and web-based applications, and UX best practices.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled clinical decision support concepts, including surfacing recommendations, alerts, or predictive insights in ways that support clinician judgment without disrupting care delivery.
- Analytical and detail‑oriented, gifted in workflow analysis.
- Proficient with design tools such as Axure, Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and related productivity applications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and personal organization skills.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX process, problem-solving, and user-centered design thinking.
- Primarily sedentary; requires consistent sitting for the majority of the workday.
- Requires regular keyboard typing.
- Requires ability to observe a computer screen for long periods of time.
- Requires ability to listen and speak clearly to customers and other associates.
