Dental Assistant at Florida Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

• Work hours:
  
  7:45 am‑4:30 pm Monday‑Thursday, 7:45 am‑3:00 pm Friday, one‑hour lunch, healthy work‑life balance.

• Provide superior chair‑side clinical support to doctors, including charting, patient education, operatory set‑up, and clean‑up.
• Manage patient flow; redirect efforts, prioritize operating room assignments, and update doctors on patient status.
• Welcome and greet patients in the reception area and introduce them personally.
• Takes and processes X‑rays.
• Perform patient hand‑offs.
• Enter and update patient treatment plans in the company’s operational system.
• Verify that the patient’s clinical service needs are met and take appropriate action when expectations are not met.
• Escort the patient to check‑out.
• Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatory.
• Monitor all laboratory cases and ensure they are ready for the next day’s schedule.
• Maintain emergency kits, first‑aid supplies, emergency medications, and oxygen tanks.
• Follow maintenance schedules for processor, autoclave, and compressor weekly.
• Identify, report, and follow up on any maintenance issues in the office.
• Follow OSHA regulations and MFSD safety requirements, including HIPAA, CPR, X‑ray, and other relevant certifications.

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent with Dental Assistant Certificate.
• Minimum 2‑year job‑related experience.
• Physical ability to walk, talk, stand, and update information on computer systems.
• Positive attitude in challenging situations.
• Background check required.
• Bilingual is a plus, but not required.
