Job Description
The Denture Place is excited to announce a new opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team. Positioned within a dynamic and supportive environment, this Full-Time role offers a unique chance for professional growth in a fast-paced setting.
The ideal candidate will be integral in supporting our dental care team, enhancing patient satisfaction, and ensuring high-quality dental service is delivered efficiently. This role requires a proactive individual who is not only skilled in dental procedures but also possesses a strong ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members alike.
Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist dentists in various dental procedures directly or indirectly as required
- Knowledge of Implant procedures
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions to patients
- Maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders for supplies
- Knowledge of dental scheduling and treatment plan presentations
- Keep operatories clean and well-stocked for procedures
- Complete check-in/check-out procedures, manage phone calls, confirm appointments
- Call patients about pending treatments and support front desk staff as necessary
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the dental office
- EFDA Certification required
- Experience with dental implants procedures preferred
- Ability to take dental X-rays
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus!
- Excellent understanding of dental instruments, materials, and sterilization methods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff
- Well-organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Driven, self-motivated, with a positive and kind attitude
- Eager and excited to learn, with outstanding customer service skills
- Demonstrable ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to upholding professional ethics and integrity in every action
