Project Superintendent

Juneau Construction Company's team in Tampa, FL is growing! We are actively searching for a Project Superintendent to lead best in class commercial construction projects in the region from inception through completion. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in construction management, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the standards set forward by Juneau Construction Company.

General Description:

The Project Superintendent's primary job responsibility is to supervise the execution of Juneau's projects in the field under the guidance of the Senior Superintendent.

Position Requirements:

• B.S. or A.S. in Construction Management or Engineering discipline is preferred
• Minimum 5 years' experience on commercial construction projects $30M+

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Primary contact to clients and designers for field related matters
• Overall responsibility for schedule, quality, safety on project
• Manager of all subcontractors from onsite preconstruction meetings, QC meetings, Weekly coordination meetings, and through warranty period
• Lead role in establishing master construction schedule
• Manage master schedule updates
• Overall responsibility for quantity, quality, and assignments of Juneau's hourly staff
• Overall responsibility for updating near term Schedule (proficient in MS Project is preferable)
• Manager of quality control procedures onsite (these need to be consistent among Juneau projects)
• Lead project team in detailed reviews of plans and specifications
• Work with client/designers in establishing quality expectations

Physical Demands and Job Expectations:

• Position will work on-site may require regional travel between applicable Juneau Construction Company locations and jobsites, potentially for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to stand, sit, feel, twist, walk, talk, hear, see, bend, crouch, squeeze grasp, crawl, kneel, squat, push, pull, apply pressure, reach overhead.
• Ability to lift and carry 60 lbs. regularly if required.
• Must be able to safely operate all required machinery.
• Ability to work outdoors subject to local weather conditions
