Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
Job description:
The Field Foreman’s primary responsibility is the coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of assigned projects ensuring consistency with MIELKE’s strategy, commitments, and goals.
The Field Foreman will be responsible for the success of the project they are managing including:
Safety of the jobsite and employees, Customer and employee satisfaction, Project profitability (measuring man hours) and Performance of their duties (SIP, Material Handling, Organization, etc.). The scope of projects for Field Foremen includes single and smaller projects, in addition to subsets of larger projects under the oversight of a Field Supervisor.
Serve as the primary on-site Safety representative for all activities and all employees working on assigned project.
Ensure that the job site is organized, including layout of materials, protection of materials from theft and damage, and return of excess materials to vendors.
Comprehend scope drawings and recognize changes. Ensure workmanship and control quality on assigned projects by meeting or exceeding industry standards.
Effectively communicates, both written and orally with the field crew, the office, vendors, and the client. Manages customer and employee relationships to ensure their satisfaction on assigned project.
Ensure appropriate planning by creating staffing plans aligned with budgets. Completes two-week look ahead for manpower, equipment and material and setting daily goals for the crew.
Plumbing Foreman- Ability to read, understand, and apply plumbing codes
- Read, understand, and utilize specifications, submittals, and blue prints
- Operate and maintain powered industrial equipment and hand tools
- Be capable of working with a wide range of piping systems and materials including, but not limited to PVC, ABS, CPVC, Copper, Cast Iron, Steel, and Stainless.
- Organizes, plans and prioritizes work environment
- Shows professionalism when working around or directly with the public and/or customers
- Preferred Experience - 3+ Years in Commercial Construction
- Commercial and Institutional Projects
- Pay based on experience level
