Senior Client Services Consultant – Specialty Market Service & Operations

Location:

Tampa, FL (or Aurora, IL) – Open to internal candidates who can commute to a Met Life office.

Met Life is leading growth in Specialty Market relationships. In this role you will partner closely with sales, underwriting, and external relationships to execute on customer commitments. Specialty Market Service & Operations is a diverse team that supports General Agents, Third Party Administrators, Professional Employer Organizations (PEO), Associations, and Trust market space.

Functional Responsibilities
  • Overall accountability for client requests, leading projects, providing clients with alternative solutions, and identifying possible plan design alternatives.
  • Act as a liaison between the client and internal Met Life teams.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to support ongoing delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Respond proactively to customer needs.
  • Lead and participate in customer‑ and internal‑facing presentations and meetings.
  • Collaborate and act as a liaison to assist with problem resolution and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in client account audits and the strategic planning process.
  • Conduct strategy meetings, establish specific processes and reports, review contract documents, complete broker agreements, create process manuals, and ensure accurate data entry in Met Life systems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of Met Life’s and competitors’ products and trends.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and training to other team members.
Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma.
  • Expert knowledge of group products, services, and systems.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize numerous responsibilities.
  • Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Prior experience in the PEO industry.
  • Extensive oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
  • Expert knowledge of group products, services, and systems.
Salary

Expected salary range: $76,500–$102,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short‑term incentive compensation, subject to applicable plan terms.
