As a Records Coordinator you will perform routine clerical duties such as maintaining correspondence, pleadings, facsimiles and other indexed records arranged in client physical files according to Shumaker’s established system. The ideal candidate will be organized with strong interpersonal skills.
Where You’ll WorkThe Records Coordinator is an hourly non-exempt position and will work full-time at our Tampa, Florida office.
What You’ll Do- Follow internal Records Department procedures, in addition to the firm’s Records Retention Policy procedures and schedules
- Create new files and folders as requested by assigned department
- Index large case files within assigned department
- Perform general numeric filing, sorting and cross-referencing
- Prepare and scan documents using multi-function printer, reviewing all documents for accuracy
- Ensure all files taken from file room are properly scanned to person requesting
- Locate and retrieve files, folders, or documents for firm employees as needed
- Utilize computer applications such as iManage, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and 3E
- Save scanned documents in iManage using firm standardized naming conventions
- Physically store files in storage facilities as needed, following firm policies on records retention
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and results focus skills
- Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook and Excel
- Ability to work well under pressure with patience and diplomacy

Physical Requirements- Standing and walking frequently, six out of eight hours per day.
- Sitting position static for up to one-half hour at a time.
- Lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Bends and stoops occasionally, up to one-half hour per day.
