Service Paralegal​/Legal Assistant

This role is responsible for coordinating and managing the service of process for foreclosure and related legal matters. The position ensures all pleadings are served accurately, timely, and in compliance with court requirements. The individual will work closely with attorneys, vendors, and internal teams to track service progress, resolve issues, and ensure all service milestones are properly documented.

• Coordinate and manage service of process for foreclosure and related legal matters
• Review pleadings and court requirements to ensure proper service methods and timelines
• Order service through approved vendors and process servers
• Track service attempts and follow up on unserved or problematic cases
• Review Affidavits of Service / Returns of Service for accuracy and compliance
• Identify and resolve service defects or deficiencies prior to filing
• Coordinate alternative service methods when standard service is unsuccessful
• Communicate with attorneys, vendors, and internal teams regarding service status
• Enter and maintain accurate service data in case management systems
• Ensure service milestones are met and documented timely

• Experience working with service of process in a legal, foreclosure, or litigation environment
• Working knowledge of court rules and service requirements
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify service deficiencies
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong typing and data entry skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-based systems
