Field Clerk at Hubbard Construction Company
OverviewHubbard Construction, a leading Florida heavy civil construction company with over 100 years of experience, is seeking a Field Clerk to provide clerical support for construction projects in the Clearwater area. The role is part of the field project operations department.
Key Duties- Answer multiple phone lines professionally
- Meet and greet guests professionally when they visit the field operation office
- Maintain confidentiality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be well organized and detail oriented
- Maintain office supplies, copier, fax, computers
- Organize filing system for projects
- Accounting data entry and entry functions into SAP
- Match up invoices and file them
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Typing of correspondence
- Business casual and conservative attire
- Other office duties as assigned and requested

Education and Experience: This position typically is not an entry-level job.
- Requires demonstrable previous experience as a clerical – field clerk.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees.
- One (1) year of office‑related duties and experience.
- Periodic physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day. Employees must be able to periodically stand for extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform Key Duties.
- Ability to lift, on a frequent basis as required, at least 25 pounds personally and the ability to carry up to 15 pounds personally as required.
- Work is performed predominately indoors.
- Work environment periodically exposes employees to elevated levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.
- Employee occasionally works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
- Some exposure to substances commonly found on construction sites such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel, and ready mixed concrete.
