Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

We are working with a client in the Tampa area that is looking for a Accountant to join their team. This role is onsite during the training period and then will transition to 1 day WFH. They are looking to hire ASAP.

The Accountant supports the Controller in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely month-end close. This role is responsible for general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and providing support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, audits, and financial reporting.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Assist with internal and external audit requests
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Experience with ERP systems and Excel
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
