- Research and document the Company’s position on technical accounting areas, including adoption of new US GAAP accounting standards
- Support training and implementation of new accounting pronouncements
- Assist with project management and technical research to support the integration of new acquisitions and/or execution of special transactions
- Review and research complex business transactions (ASC 805)
- Lead the Company’s purchase accounting process for acquisitions
- Collaborate across operational departments to document policy and procedure updates as well as accounting considerations
- Assess, evaluate, improve, document and implement effective internal controls, as well as underlying accounting processes and procedures
- Support transactional accounting functions – journal entries, period close activities, account reconciliations, assigned schedules to assist in the financial reporting process
- Liaison with external audit team as required
- Train, develop and mentor staff on new and improved procedures
- 3-5 years of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
- CPA strongly preferred (or pursuing)
- Prior experience in public accounting strongly preferred
