We’re looking for a detail-driven and solutions-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This position plays a vital role in supporting our daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and vendor and carrier relationships. As a key player in the department, you’ll collaborate closely with the Senior Staff Accountant, Controller, CFO, and other internal teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a high level of service to both our team and clients.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily cash operations including online banking, ACH/wire processing, and check creation/upload
• Handle carrier and vendor payables for multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate payments
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings and financial reporting processes
• Support audit preparation and data gathering throughout the year
• Review and post deposits and direct bill commission statements entered by the Accounting Assistant
• Partner with Account Executives, Producers, and firm leadership to research and resolve accounting inquiries
• Perform other administrative and accounting duties as needed
• Ability to work a regular full-time schedule onsite, with occasional business travel as required
Desired Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and high standards for accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment
• Insurance industry experience a plus

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
