Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing core accounting functions, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and providing insightful analysis for decision-making. This is a hands-on role in a small team, requiring a professional with strong technical accounting skills, a CPA, and experience applying them in complex scenarios. Approximately 20% of the role involves financial modeling and analysis to support strategic initiatives.

• Manage full-cycle accounting responsibilities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed assets, and accruals.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare financial statements and support regulatory reporting as required.
• Collaborate with management on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Develop, maintain, and support financial models for decision-making, pricing, or scenario analysis (~20% of responsibilities).
• Support internal controls and compliance initiatives within a small team environment.
• Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as needed.
• Provide mentorship or guidance to junior accounting staff when applicable.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, and other departments to ensure accounting aligns with business activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
  Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior accounting role.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (Net Suite, Quick Books, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a small team environment while collaborating effectively.
