Senior Accountant (Finance)
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with GAAP, and supporting operational decision-making. The Senior Accountant will manage monthly closings, prepare financial statements, oversee accounting, and assist with audits. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience in manufacturing environments, and proficiency in Quick Books.

Essential Functions- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Maintain and analyze the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare and review financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports.
- Develop and maintain standard cost models and analyze manufacturing variances.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes; monitor actual vs. budget performance.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes; ensure timely and accurate postings.
- Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
- Prepare and file state and local tax returns, including sales and use tax.
- Support external audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Quick Books (experience with Quick Books Desktop, Enterprise, or Quick Books for Manufacturing preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Ability to consolidate financial statements across multiple entities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Salary Minimum: 75000
Salary Maximum: 85000
