Trademark Recruiting is conducting a search for an established yet rapidly growing company headquartered in Tampa. Our client is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations while strengthening financial controls, reporting, and scalability. This role partners with leadership, external CPAs, and operations to ensure accurate, timely financials and confidence in the numbers. It will work closely with and be a key partner to executive leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Accounting Operations- Manage daily workflows: AP, AR, cash management, and payroll support
- Oversee vendor invoicing, coding, approvals, and documentation
- Maintain vendor records and Quick Books Online as the system of record
- Keep accounting records organized, complete, and audit-ready
- Oversee client invoicing, credit memos, refunds, and billing adjustments
- Collaborate with Sales and Client-Facing teams for timely invoice delivery
- Monitor AR aging and elevate collection issues as needed
- Identify financial risks and trends for leadership
- Monitor cash activity, deposits, and disbursements
- Prepare ACHs, checks, and wires within approval guidelines
- Support cash planning and forecasting
- Execute bi-weekly payroll, bonuses, PTO, and benefits
- Partner with HR to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance
- Lead month-end close readiness
- Coordinate with external CPA on reconciliations, accruals, and reporting
- Ensure timely delivery of accurate financial statements and support audits
- Prepare financial reports and translate data into actionable insights
- Maintain and improve accounting SOPs, controls, and scalable processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (professional services preferred)
- Hands‑on experience with Quick Books Online
- Deep knowledge of AR/AP, invoicing, cash management, and payroll
- Experience partnering with CPAs and senior leadership
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experience in healthcare, legal services, or case-based billing
- Managing long-term AR or non-standard payment terms
- Exposure to complex revenue recognition
- Process improvement or systems-building experience in a growing company
