We are seeking an Accounting Associate to support project accounting functions, including budgeting, invoicing, and reporting. This role involves coordinating projects, managing document control, and assisting with accounts payable and general ledger activities.

• Assist with project budgeting, invoicing, and monthly status reports.
• Coordinate projects and maintain document control.
• Develop and track decision logs; create and process action items.
• Process accounts payable, overhead expenses, and general ledger entries.
• Perform coding and data entry in the general ledger.
• Support project setup, contract assessment, and labor adjustments.
• Utilize Excel for pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and reporting.
• Submit purchase requisitions and manage related documentation.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Prior experience in construction, engineering, environmental, or architecture industries is a plus.
• Skills:
  
  Knowledge of GAAP, job costing, billing, and project life cycle.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

• Modern office setting in Tampa, FL.
• Initial training on-site during the contract period; hybrid schedule after training.
• Opportunity for pay increases upon permanent conversion.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.93/hr.
