Staff Accountant

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant in Tampa, FL.

• Staff Accountant will prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Review and process invoices, expense reports, and other transactions
• As a Staff Accountant, you will assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 0-1 years of accounting experience preferred
• Solid understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with accounting software or ERP systems is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
