• Lead and manage day‑to‑day accounting operations related to accounts payable, expense management, and agent commission processes
• Supervise and mentor the accounts payable team, ensuring invoices are processed appropriately and on time
• Review, analyze, and coordinate agent commission calculations and payments
• Review and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and timely resolution of discrepancies
• Review and approve manual journal entries to the general ledger
• Ensure internal controls are followed and appropriate documentation is maintained
• Partner with cross‑functional teams (Agency Management, Billing Operations, Claims Operations) to streamline workflows and improve internal controls
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities
• Provide assistance and backup support to other areas in finance and accounting
• Identify opportunities and actively participate in company initiatives to enhance systems, automation, and internal processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
• 3+ years of accounting experience, including supervisory or lead responsibilities (insurance industry experience a plus)
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable procedures
• Excellent analytical skills and a detail‑oriented approach
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines
• Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite products, particularly Microsoft Excel.

• Experience in the insurance industry, particularly homeowners or property & casualty insurance
• Familiarity with FIS Enterprise Accounting System (EAS)
• Familiarity with SAP Concur
• Familiarity with Blackline
