AP Specialist – Red Cap Plumbing, Air & Electric

We are seeking a reliable and bright Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. You will perform tasks including creating and reviewing purchase orders, reviewing vendor invoices for accuracy, charging expenses to accounts and departments, vendor invoice entry, processing credit memos, reconciling monthly statements, assisting with check runs, preparing and mailing vendor checks, contacting vendors to resolve discrepancies, and streamlining AP processes.

• Create and review purchase orders
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy
• Charge expenses to accounts and departments after analyzing vendor invoices
• Vendor invoice entry and heavy data entry
• Review and process credit memos
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and invoices
• Assist controller with check runs
• Prepare and mail vendor checks
• Contact vendors for additional information and to resolve discrepancies
• Assist with streamlining the accounts payable processes

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of previous AP experience with basic accounting principles knowledge
• Must be able to work effectively and with a positive attitude in a high‑paced environment
• Must be able to communicate clearly with vendors/employees and have an outgoing phone personality

• $22–$26/hr
