Senior Accountant at Ledgent Finance and Accounting

Ledgent is hiring a Senior Accountant for a growing company in beautiful downtown St. Petersburg, FL. You will directly support the Controller and senior leaders in not only the day-to-day accounting functions, but bigger picture processes, procedures and setting up practices.

$85,000.00/yr - $/yr

• Lead month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze financial statements and provide variance explanations to management.
• Drive process improvements and develop accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong month-end close expertise.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
• Skills: Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite a plus). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
