We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing CPA firm in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, with a strong background in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation. This role involves managing client relationships, overseeing tax compliance and planning, mentoring staff, and ensuring high-quality tax services.

• Tax Compliance & Planning:
  • Review and prepare complex tax returns for corporations, partnerships, S-corps, trusts, estates, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and consulting to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance.
  • Research and interpret tax laws to address client needs and resolve tax issues.
• Client Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Advise clients on tax implications of business decisions, mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
• Team Leadership:
  • Supervise, train, and mentor tax associates and seniors.
  • Review work prepared by staff and provide constructive feedback.
• Business Development:
  • Identify opportunities to expand services for existing clients.
  • Assist in networking and business development efforts to attract new clients.
• Regulatory & Firm Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with IRS and state tax authorities.
  • Stay updated on changing tax laws and industry trends.
  • Assist in firm administrative duties, including billing and workflow management.

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
  • CPA certification (strongly preferred).
  • Master's in Taxation or related field (a plus).
• Experience:
  • 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.
  • Strong technical skills in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation.
  • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, Pro System fx, Ultra Tax).
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
  • Leadership experience with a team-oriented mindset.
