An exciting opportunity has arisen within Tameside Youth Justice Service for an Operational Manager to join our dedicated and passionate service.

This is a key leadership role, providing strong child centred direction, ensuring high quality, trauma informed and restorative approaches to practice, and keeping the voice and lived experiences of children at the heart of all we do.

We work with children, families, partners and communities to create “a place where everyone can achieve their hopes and ambitions.” About You The Operational Manager role in Tameside Youth Justice Service involves leading and supervising a multidisciplinary, multiagency team to deliver high quality, trauma informed, child centred practice.

The postholder oversees assessments, interventions and risk management, drives service improvements through quality assurance and reflective practice, leads thematic areas, contributes to strategic priorities, and chairs Multi Agency Risk and Safety Panels to maintain strong public protection and safety oversight.

The role also requires building strong partnerships with other agencies, deputising for the Service Manager, and contributing to workforce development, training and service improvement activities.
