The Tameside & Glossop District Nursing Service is recruiting Band 5 Community Staff Nurses. The service works across the five neighbourhoods of Tameside. You will be allocated a team base upon appointment and will have the support of our induction facilitator alongside a designated “buddy”. Newly qualified applicants will also undertake a preceptorship programme. The role may require you to work across the localities as needed.

• Work within a multi‑disciplinary community team and, after induction, assess patient care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for specific client groups.
• Provide care for all client groups within the community, ensuring adherence to locally agreed standards of care.
• Coordinate the case load in the absence of the team/senior lead, ensuring effective communication and maintaining support for junior staff.

• Registered Nurse at Band 5 or equivalent, with a commitment to community care.
• Prior experience in community or district nursing is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to work across multiple localities and varied patterns of working.
