Setter​/Operators Milling

Position: Setter/Operators (Boring & Milling) (Permanent)
Job Specification – Setter/Operators (Boring & Milling)

We are currently recruiting Setter/Operators to support continued growth across our manual and CNC boring and milling operations. Opportunities are available on both Day Shift and Night Shift. This is not a rotating shift pattern; successful candidates will be assigned to a permanent shift.

Shift Patterns & Hours

Day Shift

* Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30

* Friday: 08:00 – 13:00

* Total: 37 paid hours per week

* 30-minute unpaid lunch break (Mon–Thu), no lunch break Friday

* Overtime paid at T + 1/3

* Sunday overtime paid at T + 1/2

Night Shift

* Monday – Thursday: 18:00 – 06:00 (4 × 12-hour shifts)

* All hours paid at T + 1/3

* Paid lunch break

* Overtime available Friday after 13:00, Saturday and Sunday

* Night shift overtime paid at T + 1/2

Pay & Benefits

* Hourly rate:
Skill dependent, up to £20.00 per hour

* Company pension: 8% total contribution

* 5% employee / 3% employer

* Health & Safety Bonus: £250 every 6 months for qualifying employees

Role Responsibilities (All Positions)

Candidates must be able to:

* Set and operate relevant manual or CNC machines

* Program CNC machines where applicable

* Work from customer-issued drawings and specifications

* Machine medium to heavy work pieces

* Self-inspect components to ensure quality standards

* Be flexible and willing to work overtime when required

Experience with Fanuc or Heidenhain controls, and Cimco CADCam or Fusion software is highly desirable where applicable
