Overview
Unsociable hours over weekends, Bank Holidays and hours worked between 8:00pm - 6:00am will receive enhancement payments. As an A&E Receptionist, you will provide a welcoming and professional first impression for our patients and Healthcare Professionals on arrival at the A&E reception desk, whether front facing or via telephone, to ensure an excellent customer service experience. The post holder will provide full clerical support to the A&E Department teams based within the hospital and will work as part of a team as well as independently to ensure the smooth running of the reception service.
The role involves administrative cover across all reception desks within A&E and Same Day Emergency Care, with shift patterns that include days, evenings and nights in a 24/7 service.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our A&E reception team. Applicants should be excellent communicators with good telephone skills, able to deal with the general public daily, and have a positive approach to customer care. The role involves providing reception support to the clinical team within the A&E Department. A good standard of IT skills and the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team are essential.
