Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Diversional Activity Coordinator to join our Therapies Team at Silverwood in Chertsey. We are a fully integrated therapy team, and you will be working with people being treated on our 4 Working Age Adult Wards.
As a Diversional Activities Coordinator within the Therapies Team, you ll help to create a stimulating environment that enables us to deliver exceptional all-round care and support for people who use our services. Your role supports the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care that positively contributes to each individual s recovery journey. This role involves planning and delivering engaging activities tailored to individual needs and interests to support and enhance psychological, spiritual, social, and emotional well-being.

Main duties of the job
- Organise, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities in an inclusive, stimulating, and safe environment.
- Ascertain and interpret group interests, evaluate equipment and facilities, and adapt activities to meet individual participant needs.
- Explain principles, techniques, and safety procedures to participants in recreational activities, and demonstrate use of materials and equipment.
- Develop positive relationships with participants.
- To adopt a pragmatic and non-judgmental approach.
- To provide structured opportunities for people to relax and socialise.
