Location: Ashton-under-Lyne

An exciting opportunity has come up to join our Male Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Walker wood Unit. Walker wood Unit is a purpose built unit, located in Ashton Under Lyne. You will be working alongside a full MDT; comprising of psychiatrist, psychology, occupational therapist and social worker.

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse Qualification
Knowledge
  • The Mental Health Act 1983 and Code of Practice.
  • Legislation relating to discharge and aftercare.
  • Care Planning and Management
  • Clinical Risk Management.
Experience
  • Experience of working within mental health setting
  • Experience of working within Multi-Disciplinary Team
  • Experience of admission and discharge process
  • Experience of working within framework of Care Planning Approach
  • Previous experience of working on an acute Mental Health ward
