Overview
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. This role is for 27.5 hours per week.
As an Activities Co-ordinator
, you will plan and implement activities that delight our residents, help the Home Manager organise essential fundraising events, and work with the care home team to encourage residents to socialise and engage in new activity ideas with a focus on kindness.

• Support the Home Manager with fundraising events.
• Promote resident socialisation and involvement in activities, drawing on residents’ hobbies and interests.
• Collaborate with the care home team to deliver activities with kindness as a guiding principle.
HC-One are looking for someone with a background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes. You should have brilliant, positive energy, a natural ability to get along with people, and strong planning, organisational and IT skills with effective time management. You will communicate with residents and co-workers with consideration and kindness.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs of potential abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in related areas. You should be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
