An exciting opportunity for a Diversional Activity Coordinator to join our Therapies Team at Silverwood in Chertsey. We are a fully integrated therapy team and you will be working with people being treated on our 4 Working Age Adult Wards.
Your role supports the delivery of high‑quality, compassionate care that positively contributes to each individual's recovery journey. This role involves planning and delivering engaging activities tailored to individual needs and interests to support and enhance psychological, spiritual, social and emotional well‑being.

Main duties of the job- Organise, lead and promote interest in recreational activities in an inclusive, stimulating and safe environment.
- Ascertain and interpret group interests, evaluate equipment and facilities and adapt activities to meet individual participant needs.
- Explain principles, techniques and safety procedures to participants in recreational activities and demonstrate use of materials and equipment.
- Develop positive relationships with participants.
- Adopt a pragmatic and non‑judgmental approach.
- Provide structured opportunities for people to relax and socialise.

Person Specification Qualifications- NVQ level 3 or significant experience within a health care role
- Significant experience in a patient facing role within health care
- Experience of working within a team
- Experience in facilitating groups and individual activities
- Experience of working within an adult mental health setting
