Level 3 / Level 4 Teaching Assistant
Are you an enthusiastic and experienced L3/L4 TA ready to make a real impact across schools in Tameside? Do you have the flexibility, drive and creativity to help pupils achieve their full potential?
We are working with welcoming and supportive primary schools in the Tameside area who are seeking dedicated L3/L4 TAs. In this vital role, you’ll support teachers delivering learning in the classroom across the school, deliver group teaching sessions to close gaps in knowledge and potentially provide cover for PPA and staff absences. Schools are looking for someone with strong subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality support in the classroom.

Job Type: Full-time, 8.15am-3.45pm (Temp-to-Perm opportunity)
Salary: £95-£120 per day

- Fast-paced position, moving from class to class during the school day
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons to whole classes in the absence of the teacher and PPA cover
- Support teaching and learning in the classroom across the school, working with small groups and 1:1 to raise attainment, particularly within reading, maths and SPaG, and running interventions
- Assisting in the preparation of high quality and effective learning materials
- Provide feedback to pupils and contribute to assessment
- Support the inclusion of pupils with SEND, EAL and varying abilities
- HLTA or Level 3 status (or equivalent Level 4 qualification), having the confidence and experience to cover class teaching and group learning
- Experience working with primary school children
- Strong behaviour management, classroom organisation skills and confidence to deliver high quality, engaging lessons
- A flexible, proactive and positive attitude
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
