About TP Tutors
TP Tutors is the specialist tuition branch of Teaching Personnel – the UK’s leading education recruitment agency. We provide bespoke 1:1 and small group tuition to young people who are currently unable to attend mainstream education.
The students we support may be out of school for a variety of reasons, including:
SEN (Special Educational Needs)
SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
Challenging behaviour
Being Looked After Children
Medical needs preventing school attendance
School refusal or anxiety around school environments
We are looking for kind, patient, and understanding educators to deliver 1:1 tuition to young people in the Northampton area. Sessions may take place in students’ homes, local libraries, or school settings.
We are currently recruiting KS3 tutors/GCSE tutors Deliver sessions in students’ homes, local libraries, or school settings
Create a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes wellbeing
Use EdPlace assessments to identify students’ current levels and learning gaps
Record sessions, monitor progress, and track attendance using our LEAP reporting platform
Report any safeguarding concerns to your TP Tutors consultant
What We’re Looking For
At least 2 years’ experience working with SEN and/or SEMH students
Tutors with a genuine passion for supporting young people
Strong understanding of neurodiverse learning needs
Reliable, consistent, and patient educators
Strong communication and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
