Teacher in Carpentry and Joinery - FTE

Tameside College are looking to recruit to the role of Teacher in Carpentry and Joinery!

Are you an experienced Joiner / Carpenter? Are you looking to pass on your knowledge and skills to the next generation Joiners / Carpenters and move away from the tools? You may already be a teacher or looking to share your skills, knowledge and experience, then this is for you!

• Planning, delivering and developing teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles.
• Taking responsibility for the quality of teaching and related curriculum development to meet learner needs.
• Assessing learners' progress in College or on work experience and devising assessment processes against highly personalised progress targets.

• Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2.
• Level 3 qualification or relevant NVQ (or equivalent) in Carpentry and/or Joinery.
• Level 4 Teaching
  
  Qualification:
  
  Certificate in Education/ PGCE/Bachelor of Education or will be required to achieve Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 3 years of appointment.
• Relevant assessment qualifications - IQA/A1/V1 and evidence of current Continuous Professional Development.
